Moving Day!!
Getting our house in Palmdale all packed up. What a chore that was. My mom and Scott came over to help. They were awesome!! The men loaded it all up on the truck!
Kaimon'ts 8th Birthday
Kaimon turned 8 years old!!! He had a party with his friends at Mulligan's Family Fun Center. We had pizza and soda, opened presents, then went and had fun with the paddle boats, go-carts, miniture golf and rock climbing. It was a bitter sweet party -- as we were moving away the next weekend. It was great having everyone there for Kaimon's party in Palmdale.

New House
The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful house in a great neighborhood in Rancho Cucamonga. We have been welcomed by all our neighbors with open arms. 3 of our neighbors are actually from North Carolina. When I heard the Southern accent and felt the warm welcome, I knew we were at "home". Paul & Justin moved in last weekend. Kaimon and I will move in the weekend of June 14th, when Kaimon is out of school. We will finally be able to live like a married couple. We are looking forward to it.
Hockey Tournament - Phoenix AZ
We started off the weekend staying at Dave & Christina's house in Avondale. Thank you so much Dave & Christina for opening up your beautiful home to us. It was so nice spending time with you. Your house is just as lovely as you 2. It was truly a blessing to spend time with you.
On Friday afternoon Kaimon participated in an Indiana Jones Scavanger Hunt throughout the premise of the hotel ... without parents. The hotel had tons of game coordinates, tour guides, etc. with the intent of keeping the kids busy and give the parents some free time. After the scavager hunt we enjoyed smores at the fire pit.
On Friday night Paul had a late night hockey game. We won 6 to 4, which started off the Tournament on a positive note. It was a really good game.
The Phoenix Zoo brought animals to the hotel. We saw up close and personal many cool animals.
Saturday afternoon Paul had another hockey game. It was a huge win for us -- 11 to 0. The team we were playing was in the wrong league. They didn't stand a chance. They had 2 females on their team -- the goalie was a female. I felt sorry for them.
That evening Kaimon had a PJ party at the hotel. He had a great time. He went dressed in his PJs, enjoyed Pizza, a movie, video games and they shot guns and threw axes -- Indiana Jones style. We went out to dinner with the hockey team --- a nice dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. Wow, their food is awesome. Expensive, but awesome. After dinner we went to pick Kaimon up from his PJ party and he wasn't ready to leave yet. So we went back to our room and was able to watch a movie ourselves. Great time for Kaimon and us.
Paul had another game on Sunday morning. We got beat ... 4 to 0. We couldn't get the puck in the net for anything. It was very frustrating. It wasn't from lack of trying. The goalie was huge and just about covered the entire net.
By this time we were in 2nd place, which put us in the Semi-Finals. Unfortunately, we lost the game during the semi-finals therefore we were knocked out of the Finals. The team we played was so obnoxious. The spectators were extremely noisey and the kids intollerable. The team on the ice were the worst bunch of sore winners we've ever seen. For a non-contact hockey league, it was very physical.
Even though we didn't win the tournament, we had a great time!! I look forward to this hotel next year.

Kaimon Learning to Ride a Bike
With a little convincing, Kaimon decided to take his training wheels off his bike! Paul started to take the training wheels off and Kaimon asked if he could do it himself. Paul gladly instructed him how to do it. Kaimon actually used a wrench and took them off. Kaimon rode up and down the side walk in front of our house with the watchful guidance of Paul. We thought he did great. Kaimon did not agree. He thought Paul let go of him too much -- making him almost fall. That is until he watched the video of himself. Then he realized Paul had a good grip on him and he was actually riding a bike without the training wheels. He was so excited.
Kaimon and I went out again the 2nd night to ride. Kaimon did even better -- riding longer by himself. After the ride was over he said how excited he was and how much fun it was!!
